Wether you are Fly Fishing or Spin Fishing, these are the spots to go to

Fall River (40mins from Bend)

Easily the prettiest river in Oregon. The Fall River is a spring fed forest that runs through a pine forest. It is a fly fishing only area and is difficult to fish because of the crystal clear waters. That being said, the calm waters, bright green surroundings, and beautiful Brown and Rainbow Trout makes this a favorite spot to fish not only by me, but plenty of locals. Even if you don’t catch, the Fall River is a must see while in Bend.

Steelhead Falls (40mins form Bend)

Steelhead Falls is a very popular biking, hiking, and swimming area just outside of Bend. It gets a lot of visitors when the sun is out to go cliff jumping and swimming by the falls. However, walking just a ½ mile past the falls, completely separates you from the crowd and give you some of the best steelhead fishing in the area (hence the name). This is a great spot to fly fish or pull out your spinning rod. The views within the canyons and the area around the falls are some of the prettiest in central oregon. It is a great spot to go fishing and then enjoy a place to hang out for the day.

Cline Falls (20mins from Bend)

Cline Falls is just outside of Redmond on the way to Sisters. While most visitors take a left into the parking lot and use the area for the day, the locals know it is best to park alongside the bridge and head towards the right. Within a short 5-10minute walk you can be completely alone alongside the easiest spots to catch a fish in the area. This is a great spot to spin or fly fish, and you are guaranteed to catch a fish within the first two hours of sunrise or sunset. That being said, you are not going to catch anything bigger 10inches, while there are plenty of fish, there are no monsters in this fishing hole.
